She was previously senior editor at ICIS, where she was responsible for weekly price analysis and news about diverse markets, from base oils to polyolefins, fertilizers and sulphuric acid. Gabriela graduated with an M.A. in English and Linguistics from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, and currently resides with her family in Tokyo, Japan, having also lived and worked in the United States, Argentina, Poland, the Dominican Republic and Denmark.
