Clari?cation: Based on statements by company of?cials, our August issue reported that Amsoil Inc. does not sell direct to retail chains with more than 12 outlets. That policy dates from 2001. On individually owned franchise outlets, Amsoil now defers to its distributors, but it still handles preexisting larger accounts directly.
