Biostable Cutting Fluid

Q8 Oils Baroni XCIH is a semisynthetic, water-mix metalworking fluid for general machining of ferrous and nonferrous materials. The company says Baroni XCIH helps keep machines clean throughout the life of the coolant and provides enhanced lubrication at the tool/chip interface. The coolant contains no added chlorine, sulfur, creosols, phenols or nitrites. Its biostable properties mean that the emulsion does not degrade or produce bad odors.

Grease Takes on Heavy Loads

Rhenus Lub GmbH & Co. KG has developed a lubricant for heavily loaded plain and rolling bearings, as well as tooth wheels and bolts in mining, quarrying, agriculture and forestry. Rhenus LKX 2 can also be used in wheel bearings for railway vehicles or trucks. The company says the grease is a combination of solid lubricants that provides a strong welding force and is mechanically stable. Rhenus LKX 2 can withstand pressures up to 7,000 Newtons and has a temperature range of -25 to +150 degrees C.

Grinding Fluid for Tough Metals

Oelheld has introduced SintoGrind 353 gear grinding fluid formulated from synthetic base stocks. The company says SintoGrind 353 was formulated for demanding grinding tasks and can be used on hardened steels in excess of 65 Rockwell. Its lubricity is said to provide extended wheel life and minimal heat build-up in workpieces. This helps eliminate surface cracks and burns. The fluid contains no hazardous elements and can be used over a wide temperature range.

H1 Oils Are Halal Certified

Inolex Inc. has received certification that the companys food-grade synthetic base oils meet the requirements of Halal Certification as established by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America. This certification provides assures food processors that a companys products meet stringent hygiene and sanitation standards in their manufacture. Inolex food grade products also meet the requirements of the USDA and FDA H-1 regulations, 21 CFR 178.3570, and conform to the requirements of NSF. They are also approved by the Orthodox Union for Kosher use.

Honda/Castrol Introduce Co-branded Products

Honda Motor Europe has entered into a three-year cooperation agreement with Castrol as its recommended lubricants supplier with a new range of co-branded products and genuine oils for use in Honda engines. Castrol Edge Professional H low-viscosity lubricants are for use in Hondas existing range of high-tech i-VTEC petrol engines, i-DTEC diesel engines, including the 1.6 i-DTEC engine, and Hondas hybrid engines. The companies said the oils help Honda meet increasingly tighter emissions regulations, while providing excellent protection and performance. Castrol Edge Professional H and Honda genuine oil are the only oils recommended by Honda in Europe and are available through Honda dealers.
