Ray brings a rich and varied background to his base oil reporting. For nearly two decades he has been managing director and majority shareholder of Pumacrown Ltd., a trader and broker of base oils and other petroleum products in the U.K. His company today represents the procurement interests of a number of public and private organizations in Europe, India, the U.S. and Russia. Before forming Pumacrown, Ray spent 15 years with Esso Petroleum (now part of ExxonMobil) in base oils and marine lubes, followed by eight years with trading house Tramp Oil & Marine Ltd. (now part of World Fuel Services).
