Swedish specialty chemicals company Perstorp launched a range of renewable and part-renewable polyol brands called Voxtar, Evyron and Neeture. The materials are intended to be drop-ins for existing polyol ester base oils. European Bike Oils Score Japanese Approval

The Japan Lubricating Oil Society has given Lubritas fully synthetic motorcycle oils Japanese Automotive Standards Organization MA-2 approval. The JASO MA-2 specification applies to modern four-stroke motorcycle engines that can be fitted with catalytic converters in their exhaust systems. All Killer, No Filter

SKF, a Swedish bearing and seal company, introduced an inline small grease reservoir filling filter, part of its Lincoln range of grease-related products. The company said it helps minimize contaminants in automatic lubrication systems and ensure that clean grease enters the grease reservoir in applications such as off-road construction vehicles, small mining and general industry equipment, wind turbines, over-the-road trucking and construction and agricultural machinery. The Lincoln filter is available with a 250- or 500-micron, crush-proof filter element and has a fill rate of up to 8 liters per minute and operating pressure of 344 bar, depending on operating conditions.

The company also brought to market its mechanical grease overflow prevention system to avoid hazards associated with reservoir overfilling, also in the Lincoln range. The product improves worker safety and minimizes environmental concerns caused by this type of spill, SKF said. It can operate in temperatures of minus 40 to 65.5 C, making it suitable for mining, aggregate, industrial and off-road construction applications. www.skf.com

The high-end Italian carmaker will now only recommend Shell Helix Ultra Maserati 10W-60 for all of its 2018 V6 gasoline engine models.
