Russo-Belarusian additive maker LLK-Naftan expanded its reach to India where it started to supply lubricant additives, the company told Lube Report.
The first batch of 100 metric tons was shipped to the Indian lube makers recently, and the company plans to triple this volume by the end of this year. Our enterprise has good experience in doing business in the Southeast Asia region, Mikhail Babushkin, LLK-Naftan general director, told Lube Report last week. For example, we are shipping additives in Singapore for the fourth consecutive year, he said.
In 2014 the company produced almost 20,000 tons of additives, up from 17,000 tons produced the year before, Babushkin said at RPIs Lubricants Russia conference held in Moscow last month.
Around 95 percent of the companys additive products are meant for export. Half of that amount is sold in Russia and some parts of the former Soviet Union, and the rest goes to other countries, LLK-Naftan said. Asian countries where the company ships its products are South Korea, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
LLK-Naftans exports have risen this year. Through the first nine months of 2015, export sales revenues ran 32 percent higher than the same period of 2014, at 540 Belarusian rubles (U.S. $29 million).
Created in 2006, LLK-Naftan is a joint venture between the Russian lube maker LLK International and Belarus oil company Naftan. The partnerships product portfolio includes more than 30 types of lubricant additives and additives packages. It also markets a dozen types of finished lubes and other petrochemical products, according to the company.
