Chevron Belgium NV and toll blender VLS-Group renewed their contract, including an increase of volumes to be handled via VLS-Groups toll manufacturing and logistics facilities in the Port of Ghent in Belgium.

The companies extended their cooperation for integrated production logistics arrangements, including tank storage, blending and packaging activities.

Chevrons Els Devriendt, general manager for Europe and marine supply chain, credited VLS-Group with providing flexible and cost-effective supply chain solutions to Chevron Lubricants during the past three years. She noted in a Sept. 29 news release that the toll blenders infrastructure of tanks, blend kettles and filling lines will be the key enabler to help us anticipate customer demand with regards to our future product line.

VLS Groups main facility is on a 250,000-square-meter site in the Port of Ghent. The terminal offers liquid storage, warehousing, tolling, processing, blending and filling, as well as other value-added services. The toll blender owns more than 200,000 square meters of warehouse storage facilities in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands and 100,000 cubic meters of terminal tank capacity in Belgium. It also has 19 filling lines.
