French energy major Total announced last week that it had acquired Lubrilog SAS, thereby strengthening Total’s presence across several industrial lubricants segments and adding capacity to manufacture perfluorinated polyethether lubricants.

Registrations of new passenger cars in the European Union fell to 769,525 in August, down 19% from 949,034 in August 2019, according to data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association. Among the largest EU markets, Germany and France posted the largest declines, both down 20%, while Italy had the smallest drop, 0.4%.
