Shell launched a technology center in Bangalore, India, which it hopes will add research and development support to its lubricants division in the future. Petronas Lubricants Internationaltold reporters last week that it will invest around U.S. $150 million in India, an increase from the $50 million it initially targeted for its 97,000 metric tons per year blending plant under construction in Patalganga. The expenditure will also cover branding efforts and a motorcycle engine oils technology center.
